Am I the only one who feels stuck???

28 09 2011

In this very moment, right now,I feel like I’m stuck.

I feel like I’m not moving forward.

I feel like nothing makes sense.

I feel like I’m not growing.

I feel like I’m not trying hard enough.

I feel like everything has come to a stand still.

**Hope I snap out of it soon because there’s an amazing day to be enjoyed.

Opportunities to get a hold of.

Dreams to be realized.

A life to be lived.

Goals to be achieved and so much more.

I'm looking forward to travelling. This is my best time of the year to travel because a)flights & hotels are cheaper and b)it's not so hot.

I am also looking forward to wearing my jackets and coats which are all bright colored.I love bright colors during this time of the year because they contrast the mood of the weather.

Rest in Peace Troy Davis

26 09 2011

I’m a little on the fence when it comes to the death penalty.I have had the chance to examine this form of punishment numerous times during the course of my college career. However,in the case of Troy Davis,I feel that his execution was  unjustified.

I know the facts of the case as most of you do.He was accused of killing an off duty police officer in 1989.There was no hardcore  evidence except for some witnesses who testified that they had seen Troy commit the murder.Seven of these nine witnesses later recanted stating they did not see him do it or that they felt pressured by the police to  say he had done it.

I think what most people are failing to understand is that people who were supporting Troy Davis, did so because they oppose the death penalty. They also opposed the execution because they felt that there was way too much DOUBT for him to have been the killer.

Now that he’s gone,we can not right that wrong if indeed he was innocent. This particularly bothers me because I live in the South,an area that reveres its Christian ways, yet is so quick to execute a man without hardcore evidence.Hmmmm!Makes you wonder!!
